Terryon Thomas is accused of second-degree murder for the death of his therapist. Known for his personality on social media platforms such as TikTok, he was socially known as “Mr. Prada”. However, having over 4 million TikTok followers did not stop the 20-year-old male from actions that may result in him facing the death penalty if convicted.
TikTok has increasingly grown over the years. It’s arguably a great source of income and allows many creators to live a pretty lavish lifestyle. Terryon Thomas, a.k.a Mr. Prada, was one who benefited from this with having over 4 million followers. Infamous for his comedic and relatable videos, Mr. Prada was heavily featured on the For You section of TikTok’s discovery tab for many TikTok viewers to watch.
The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office found 69-year-old William Nicholas Abraham’s body wrapped in a tarp alongside Highway 51 on Sept. 29th, 2024. Mr. Abraham’s cause of death was determined to be blunt force trauma to the head, neck and shoulders. Williams Nicholas Abraham was a therapist and a well-known figure in the Baton Rouge community. Often referred to as “Dr. Nick” as he was a licensed counselor and life coach. He worked with many people of the LQBTQ+ community treating abuse, anxiety and depression. Prior to Mr. Abraham served as a catholic priest for 14 years.
Detectives began looking for a person of interest and released a photo of who they claim to have been driving Mr. Abraham’s car the following day. The images surfaced online and soon fans of Mr. Prada began noticing the photos online were of their beloved TikToker. Trying to flee from the situation. Mr. Thomas bought a bus ticket to Dallas Texas, where soon after an arrest was made and Mr. Thomas was apprehended in Dallas according to online jail records obtained from Dallas County Jail. He’s remained in jail without bond since October 2024.
In 2015, Abraham was accused of molesting an 11-year-old boy while counseling him. Abraham was arrested and booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison but later posted bond. Though prosecutors had probable cause, the case was not brought to trial for the protection of the child and lack of evidence. The connection between Thomas and Abraham is still unknown, however many fans of Mr. Prada speculate that he was a client of Mr. Abraham and became victim to Mr. Abraham’s allegations from 2015.
To gain clarity of this I reached out to Jarrett Ambeau, who was the attorney for Mr. Abrahams. Mr. Ambeau says, “Mr. Prada is not the 11-year-old-boy from molestation allegations of 2015”, despite the claims online. Mr. Ambeau also confirms the relationship between both parties isn’t known saying, “Mr. Abrahams worked with many of the LGBTQ+ community, as being openly gay himself, but I am not sure if they had a personal or professional relationship”.
Mr. Prada’s lawyer isn’t named throughout any reports nor has any witnesses spoken out. The Baton Rouge Sheriff’s office is handling the case, however other than a statement received from the sheriff’s office, details of the case seem to be extremely private.
On January 16, 2025, the case involving Mr. Thomas proceeds to trail. Charged with murder, aggravated criminal damage to property, obstruction of justice and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Mr. Thomas could face the death penalty if convicted of these charges.
Not being familiar with how facing the death penalty works, I reached out to Deron Richardson, a Paralegal based out of Washington D.C., who says “when a person is considered for the death penalty, they first must commit a crime in the state that allows it. For this specific case, given that the charges are so serious, and it was committed in Florida, where it’s allowed”. When asked how long someone could be on death row. Mr. Richardson continues with saying “That’s another thing that varies. The death penalty isn’t a three-step process and then done. It takes time. Some inmates could be on death for a decade or better. Mr. Thomas, if convicted, wouldn’t be put down until maybe his late 30’s”.
Fans of Mr. Prada spoke out against claims by saying months before the incident Mr. Prada was experiencing many moments of depression from a recent break-up as well as claiming to be “Bi-Polar”. Despite what’s shared online, Mr. Thomas remains in jail while he awaits his trial date.
