Denzel Cannon (b. 1992 – Washington, D.C.) is a multifaceted artist, producer, and journalist dedicated to storytelling through sound, visuals, and the written word. A proud D.C. native, Denzel began his journey in music and media while earning his B.S. in Recording Arts from Full Sail University.

Since graduating in 2017, Denzel has cultivated a diverse career across creative industries. He served as a Creative Assistant to the Mayor of Capitol Heights, MD, where he applied his expertise in audio and video production to support civic engagement and communication initiatives. His professional path has also included roles such as Media Technician at the Inter-American Development Bank, and Audio/Visual Technician on international tours—further expanding his global perspective and technical skill set. Notably, he also completed a media internship with the Orlando Solar Bears, combining his passion for storytelling with sports and live production.

Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in New Media Journalism, Denzel is focused on using his platform to challenge stigma around mental health, confront harmful social norms, and highlight issues of racism, discrimination, and injustice. His work aims to spark dialogue, amplify marginalized voices, and promote meaningful change through journalism and media.

Under the name DNZL KANIN, he has built an engaged following of over 20,000 across Instagram and TikTok, where he shares insights, creative projects, and thought-provoking commentary.
